Design-and-build contract—in the form of an alliance contract—for a road bridge (formerly referred to as the Hale Street Link) across the Brisbane River in the centre of the capital of the State of Queensland.
The project comprises :
- A 280-m-long bridge across the Brisbane river. The triple-span prestressed concrete bridge was built by the balanced cantilever method. The piers are founded on 1800-mm-diameter piles.
- A 225-m-long T-beam overpass along the north bank, perpendicular to the bridge. It has seven 32-m-spans and was built without full road closure.
- Sundry works on both banks: 52-place carpark, road extension, underpass for pedestrians and cyclists, renovation of drainage and other systems.
