Design-and-build project for a 10,5-km-long drainage tunnel to overcome flooding problems in Hong Kong.
- Two tunnels driven by hard-rock TBM: one 6.5 km long with internal diameter of 7.25 m (8.24 m external diameter); one 4 km long with internal diameter of 6.25 m (7.14 m external diameter).
- 32 cross-passages excavated by drill-and-blast, varying from 20 to 800 m in length and totalling 8.6 km.
- 32 vertical shafts sunk by raise boring, between 16 and 175 m deep, for a total excavation depth of 3.4 km.
- 2 tunnel portals.
