Construction of a barrage on the Seine for regulating the level of the upstream reach between the Suresnes and Chatou/Bougival river barrages. It is immediately upstream of the existing barrage which was demolished when the new structure was handed over. Project carried out as part of a consortium.
Barrage equipment:
- Three main 30.50-m-wide sluices, each fitted with a bottom-hinge gate operated by two hydraulic cylinders, and a fishway at the left-bank end of the structure (Chatou Island side)
- A steel footbridge crossing the new barrage and connecting the right bank to the island where the new barrage control building is sited.
Equipment upstream:
- Construction of a bulkhead-gate storage area (island side)
- Extension of training wall to upstream tip of island
- Cable laying by boat.
